Inspiration
The Accademia Salentina was a unique cultural experience in the local panorama: in 1948, the poet Girolamo Comi, established in Lucugnano (hamlet of Tricase), an intellectual circle that bore that name. A large group of people, committed locally and nationally to poetry and art, turned around the poet, including: Michele Pierri, Oreste Macrì, Mario Marti, Vincenzo Ciardo, Maria Corti, Luciano Anceschi, Rosario Assunto, Ferruccio Ferrazzi.
The Magazine L’Albero was born from that dialogue experience, a project Girolamo Comi supported, economically, in first person.
Palazzo Comi is a reference point for all the Salentini who love culture, there is something there you can’t find easily elsewhere: an ancient spirit that spreads through all the rooms and pushes towards a dizzying and restoring blast from the past.
The Poet home is the one of all those who love poetry, and its most melancholic declinations. We are viscerally attached to that place and we have decided to honour it in our own small way, with a dedicated room.
